Hey guys! I think I have finally solved my animation problem.

I broke my laptop

My old, and first, laptop was a Zenbook 14 or something. It was powerful, and I used it all throughout college. It broke after a few too many drops. The screen detached completely from the body and the PC repair guys said he couldn't do anything for me, then charged me $150 >:( Why is there a $70 diagnosis fee? I already know what the problem is! Seemed like a simple fix, but ASUS doesn't like to sell parts to their cool electronics, which is why I went back to my iphone after I broke the screen to my zenphone 8 as well. Anyway, I'm a little strapped for cash these days so I started looking on Marketplace for a used laptop. That's when I spotted a surface pro.

What the problem

I've been really slacking on my animation game. I mean, I used to put out a new animation every month gosh darnit! The problem, is that I have to sit at my computer to animate. This wasn't an issue when I stayed in my room all day playing video games, animating in a discord call while my buddies screamed at video games. But now I'm an adult or something! I got too many other things to focus on in my spare time. I don't even have time to play video games anymore. Plus, when we do have 'craft' night and such, it's not like I can drag out my entire PC rig into the dining room. I need something portable! Hooking up a graphics tablet to my old laptop seemed like a pain, and would be too uncomfortable/inconvenient. Oh yeah, and that's when I spotted a surface pruh

Le Solution

I talked some dude into giving me a Surface Pro 7 for $180 instead of $200. Still a little more than I think it's worth, but I really like it! I bought a rechargable pen and a bluetooth keyboard. Now I have an exact mobile replica of my desktop animation setup! The only complaint I have is that the laptop is a little slow, but it hasn't caused too many issues yet :)
